The Helen McCrea Peacock Foundation supports environmental organizations whose work and initiatives have a positive impact on the environment with a focus on remediation.
Eligibility
The Helen McCrea Peacock Foundation will fund:
- Registered Canadian charitable organizations
- Environmental initiatives carried out within the Province of Ontario
Grant Restrictions
The Helen McCrea Peacock Foundation does not support the following:
- Operating deficits
- Capital campaigns
- 100% staff salaries
- Attendance at conferences
- Endowment funds
- Political or religious activities
- Event or fundraising sponsorships
Criteria
All successful applications will satisfy the following criteria:
- Well-developed work plan outlining clear and specific goals
- For projects involving research, applications must include a clear dissemination plan
How to Apply
The Helen McCrea Peacock Foundation accepts grant applications once per year. The deadline for applications is May 1, 2010, with final decisions made in July. Faxed proposals will not be accepted. Proposals should be signed by a senior officer of the organization. Incomplete submissions will be declined.
Grants staff at the Toronto Community Foundation will review all proposals and only those which most closely meet the Helen McCrea Peacock Foundation's priorities and criteria will be considered by the directors. Applicants may be requested to provide additional information or materials for the committee to review.
