Staff at KPMG learn about engaging in their community and the Vital Ideas grant program.

KPMG to sponsor second Vital Ideas grant

With a successful pilot under our belts, we are thrilled to be working with KPMG again this year to leverage our Vital Ideas grant program through Vital Impact: Vital Toronto.

The second installment of Vital Impact: Vital Toronto was launched on January 23 at KPMG’s downtown Toronto office. More than 100 KPMG employees from locations across the GTA learned about how they can participate in the community leadership program.
We custom created the Vital Impact: Vital Toronto program for KPMG after the firm identified an interest in connecting their employees to skills-based volunteering opportunities in the communities served by the firm, while encouraging KPMG employees to deepen their understanding of the challenges facing our city and innovative solutions.

What makes this collaboration unique is that, beyond the firm’s $30,000 contribution, KPMG employees have the opportunity to use their unique skills and talents to benefit the Vital Ideas organization that receives the grant and/or any other grants applicants reviewed by KPMG teams.

Every year, through our Vital Ideas grant program, we help increase the capacity of high-impact community organizations. With increased capacity, these organizations are better positioned to expand their reach, share their experience, and better sustain their impact.
