Vital Toronto event celebrates great work throughout our city and towards its vitality.
June 30, 2009
Vitality, optimism and perseverance were felt in abundance at this year's Vital Toronto as we celebrated some of the remarkable people and organizations that are helping make Toronto a better place for all!
Brilliantly hosted again by Matt Galloway of CBC Radio's Here and Now, the second annual Vital Toronto built on the success of last year's event and carried it to a new level of excitement.
"Vital Toronto is a chance for us to celebrate the great work that is going on throughout our city and recognize the people that do so much for Toronto's vitality," said Rahul Bhardwaj, President & CEO, Toronto Community Foundation.
The 2009 Vital Toronto event was held on June 30 in a packed Glenn Gould Studio at the CBC Broadcasting Centre.
Our special guest Ric Young, of EYE - The Social Projects Studio and a member of Toronto Community Foundation's Council of 100, spoke with Matt Galloway on the meaning of Community and how we can all work together to form stronger communities.
