Yonge Street's videographer Darren Alexander visits The Stop's innovative location at the Wychwood streetcar barns on Christie Street and finds that, on top of functioning as a food bank, they have a drop-in, prenatal program, bake ovens and markets, community cooking classes and even urban agriculture on the go.
The Stop Community Food Centre is a 2010 Vital Ideas grant winner, and Rhonda Teitel-Payne, their Urban Agriculture Manager, won a 2008 Vital People grant for her leadership in the city.
