Since 2008, Nancy Smith-Lea has been the Director of the TCAT, a recognized and credible voice for active transportation and program of the Clean Air Partnership. Nancy has been actively involved in working toward improving conditions for active transportation in Toronto since 1993.
Well-known as an effective collaborator and regional thinker, Nancy has brought many stakeholders together around the acceptance of Complete Streets concepts (including diverse communities, the City of Toronto and neighbouring municipalities).
With her Vital People grant, Nancy will attend organizational management courses which will help her to set and achieve both personal leadership and organizational strategic goals to support TCAT’s vision. Nancy will also learn about implementing effective social media and online communication strategies.
