Green Innovation Awards
The Toronto Community Foundation's Toronto's Vital Signs® Report informs us that while Toronto is making great strides towards a greener city, the community still requires greater investment in green technologies, products and services. Toronto is below target on per capita emission rates, residential waste diversion, and overall pollution levels. We're working to help change this by providing entreprenurial Torontonians funds to get their ideas off the ground.
Supporting Green Ideas
The Green Innovation Awards provide incubation support for new, green ideas for products and/or services that demonstrate significant potential for market success and in making a positive environmental impact in Toronto. Up to $50,000 in seed money is available, and the winners will be announced in April 2010 at the Green Toronto Awards.
Partnering for Solutions
We are partnering with the City of Toronto Environment Office to deliver the Green Innovation Awards, which would not be possible without the generous support of the following donors through our Vital Toronto Fund:
- John & Christine Currie Foundation at the Toronto Community Foundation
- Helen McCrea Peacock Foundation at the Toronto Community Foundation
- Adrian & Reta Hudson Fund at the Toronto Community Foundation
- Ontario Lottery Corporation Fund at the Toronto Community Foundation
Apply by March 12, 2010
